Speech Fewapy presents the 2nd show from Our Man Flint. A lone agent on a mission to repel the purveyors of bland music and restore songs with passion and skill to the airwaves.

Flint steps out of the shadows once more to inject some serious tunage into the festive proceedings. Three indie belters from Leeds spearhead an eclectic mix of essential listening. If you haven't already crashed the Aston Martin in the snow...you will now. Avanti!

From the murky atmosphere of Colombia’s District, to your pleasantly receptive ears, come Brian and Caleb–one half of the illustrious band known as Grammar and two halves nerds. They move forwards to dissect the very nature of the things we all take for granted. Video games! TV Shows! Mild paranoias! How high a mirror would have to be for a brontosaurus to be able to brush his teeth in a comfortable, yet not fully reclined, position! Exactly how many gallons of marshmallow peeps did Lil Wayne consume while in jail! It’s all hear. They also play music!! You’ll hear anything from current indie and electro jams, to African song in the tradition of the Ewe people. This is your time. So relax, grab a whiskey ginger, turn on your home shopping network and STOP–It’s Grammar Time!!!

In this months show, Shane realises that our show hasn’t given hip-hop enough exposure and everyone knows that if a genre doesn’t have our support it’s destined to fail…

Setting off on a journey around the east and west coasts of America whilst trying not to be caught up in a gangster rappers tiff we found some of the tastiest tunes ever to grace the airwaves. Along the way we also found out we knew pretty much nothing about the genre…as ever Andy And Shane Go Road Trippin’ is a musical education – but mainly for Andy and Shane!

Andy & Shane Go Road Trippin' - Speech Fewapy Radio - Episode 4
July 27, 2009 12:07 AM PDT

Andy and Shane do a wee road trip from their home town of Edinburgh around the world on a mission to integrate themselves fully with a vast array of sonic cultures and then drug them and steal their music to bring back to you.

Yes that's right, we're pillaging all the countries we go through to bring you the best they have to offer. Wanna know where Vampire Weekend get their influences from? Or what the best band in New Zealand is (according to us)?

Don't worry they'll be no Mongolian throat singers but expect big beats from Africa, sonic assaults from Japan and generally the best of the best that the world has to offer!

Save the planet and don't rack up the air-miles travelling, sit back and enjoy.
